When we follow Jesus he tells us how to get into society, to get into history, to get tied to the common good, and how to be part of the muddiness and fleshiness and messy spirituality of it all.Jesus doesn't emphasize how to get us into heaven, but rather how to get our feet on the ground, and how to get in touch with what is really real- his invisible kingdom that's coming and already here!
